Funky hotel with interesting decor throughout. The room was spacious, but some parts of the room and bathroom were a bit outdated - good products though. Breakfast was also good and lots of options - worth adding to your reservation. Front desk staff was really helpful when asking about checkout/taxi service/storing luggage. Fair warning that if you ask for them to order a taxi to the airport, the fixed 55€ taxi rate to FCO applies but they also add another 10€ for the hotel pick up. We were sure we were getting the fixed rate until it was time to pay at the airport. The taxi driver advised that if we just got a taxi off the street then it would have been 55€.

Nice hotel, didn’t love that we had to turn in the key when we left so they knew when we weee gone but it was a cute stay for part of our honeymoon! Good location to a bus into Rome!

Most of the staff is great. The breakfast team was very nice to accommodate my diet restrictions. Breakfast is great, with lot of options. Big rooms, nice location. Room have a balcony as well. On the negative side, the room is too old, outdated, don’t believe in the nice new pictures you see online, I was very disappointed. While in the lobby and breakfast spaces you feel you are in 2030, in the room you feel you are in the 1980. Room furniture does not make any sense. Pillows are very hard, not fluffy or soft. Elevators are very old, it shakes and makes a lot of noise, doors does not close fully (it was a bit scary every time we go into the elevator).

Wonderful stay

Stayed for 2 nights, booked a standard room and was upgraded to a superior room. The room was very modern and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Nice bathroom with soap, shampoo and amenities kit. You can request an iron from reception. There is a mini fridge and a balcony. The bar at the hotel was very good. They have free snacks available when you buy a drink. The breakfast was very good. Staff all very helpful when needing directions. There is a bus/tram stop a couple of minutes walk which can take you to main attractions. It’s about a 10 minute walk into the main area of Trastevere. This area is great for food and drinks.

Clean, Comfortable and Convenient

Located in Trastevere, Hotel Ripa Roma is a gem of a boutique hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was fun. Its location is great in that it’s just off the beaten path from the hustle and bustle of central Rome but still walkable to many attractions. When in Rome be reminded to where comfortable, supportive footwear because the best way to see everything is exploring on foot!! There are 4 elevators to take you to your room…they are quite small which is not a problem but I thought I’d mention. It’s charming that in this modern designed hotel, guests leave their handcrafted oversized hotel key at the reception area/front desk when theyleave and retrieve it when they return. No issues with water temperature or pressure. Our stay in Rome was short and we were tired from traveling so I guess that’s why I didn’t take room photos but I assure you it was clean, comfortable and spacious. You might read reviews saying a little outdated and/or worn…do not pay attention. We enjoyed staying here while we visited Rome.

The hotel itself was just ok. The staff at the reception desk were very good but the restaurant service was terrible. The first night we were there my wife and I sat at a table for thirty minutes without service and it was not busy. I even went to the bar at one point to remind them. We left and never went back. The room was the biggest disappointment. The furnishings reminded me of something a college kid the first time away from home might have. There were two steel chairs and a steel outdoor table on the balconey. In the room there were no chairs, no dresser to put clothes in or for my wife to make up and no closet. We literally lived out of our suitcases. The only reason we stayed is because we did not want to waste our vacation time to research and move.

Good but needs a lot of repairs

Very good breakfast, good service in the front desk with valuable information to visit the city. The hotel looks modern but needs to be refreshed, the room needed a lot of repairs, bathroom very poor clean, curtains and window very dirty, when we turned on the AA unit it blowed a lot of dust

Overall lovely hotel. Staff was very helpful and attentive to any and all needs. The breakfast lacks some fiber options but still filling for someone without any allergens or food preference. If you’re vegan or celiac, you might find options quite limiting. The hotel is located at a very safe location near all public transit options that you’ll need, if you are going for some site seeing. Overall:9.5/10.
