The room was freshly painted, had such a strong chemical smell that I couldn't stay in the room without having a headache. Notified the staff and they moved me to another room which was a lot better. Service in the restaurant was really slow. Ordered one bowl of noodle and had to wait for 20mins when there hardly any customers. Furniture and carpet are dated. Overall, it was ok.

I was not a fan of the self service aspect of everything. It felt impersonal and lacking personality. My main issue is with the cards for the lift. I was stuck in a lift as the cards failed and had to press for help. Another time i had to get off on another floor due to the card failing and i used the staircase but then the door locked behind me and i was stuck in the staircase. I had to call security to get me out. There were no signs on the external door exterior to say the staircase door locked when you go through. I think the card issue has been around a while from other reviews. The rooms were spacious and clean. The TV selection was good.

We loved our stay in Singapore and the Furama suited our needs. We appreciated the breakfast buffet and the kids playground on the main floor. We also enjoyed the pool facilities and made use of the laundry room too. We knew upon check in that the room Would only be serviced after the third night of stay, but at a minimum I requested that the bins were emptied daily due to one of my children still needing nappies (and who wants the smells for all that time?) This wasn’t done however, and we had to ring to get the bins emptied on the 4th day. I think 3 days between room servicing for a ‘hotel’ is probably too long.

Furans Riverfront is conveniently located near metro and bus routes to major attractions and dining options. I stayed with my 2 young daughters and they loved the pool and the play area and the room had beaut views from our l17 room. Staff were friendly and well trained.

For the price we paid, we had to ask for fresh towels every day, the room was only cleaned after three night stay. When you stay that long with no cleaning products supplied, it is very hard to keep clean, ie, wiping the bench down when something is spilled. The staff who cleaned our room was wonderful and the 2 gentlemen concierges who worked down at the front, helping people with their luggage etc were so helpful and friendly. The dine in room service option was well below par, our meal was cold and we reported it so another came up and it was cold. The elevators are not air conditioned? No we would not recommend this hotel to our friends.

Family Holiday in Singapore

My room reservation was for a family of three. The room size is really not comfortable for three occupants. It is probably just OK for two. At the rate of over $240 per night it may be acceptable for its central location with easy access to MRT station and the nearby eateries.
