Best part of the hotel is the breakfast buffet 😉 The hotel is in a great central location next to Clarke Quay, it is perhaps getting a little tired but we have stayed there 3 times before as it is excellent value, the rooms are big, very comfortable beds and pillow choices. Bathroom is large. Service and room cleaning are excellent, it’s just an older hotel which is well maintained and a good pool area. We will be sure to use again.

The first room we got put in smelled disgustingly damp - there was also damp & mould on the carpet, around the desk legs, next to the bed. Probably the worst hotel carpet I have seen. Instead of just moving us, they put a dehumidifier in the room which made no difference. After complaining some more we got put in another room on a higher floor - no smell but still signs of damp everywhere. I would honestly be embarrassed putting guests in these rooms. Staff don't seem to really care or seem bothered at all, a bit like they've given up. The hotel cleaners though I think did a fantastic job with what they were given, there isn't much they can do with a disgusting carpet and the rest of the room was clean. Attention to detail doesn't exist, the lamp shades had paint splatters all over them (like just replace them???)... it is not what you'd expect from a 'luxury' hotel which is what they advertise themselves as. Would never stay here again... watch out for the mouldy rooms.

We had a room overlooking the water. It was lovely. Breakfast very good. Staff very nice. Pool nice, only criticism was the music played by the pool, annoying and not necessary. Overall i would highly-rate this hotel.

This is a fabulous location. Subway nearby which is super easy to navigate. Chinatown on your doorstep too. We had for fabulous four nights here, loved Singapore. A must visit city!

Third year in a row staying at the Paradox Merchant Court. Premium hotel with direct access to Clarke Quay MRT, you can’t beat the convince. First time having breakfast included which was a bit of a disappointment. If you don’t go early, you won’t get a table and there will be line ups to get close to the food. Missed 2 of my four breakfasts. Once because I got up after 8am and decided not to battle the crowd. Took a 6 minute walk over to Hong Lim hawker Center to get my Kaya toast, eggs and coffee which was only $4.30. Better than battling the breakfast crowd. House keeping staff were amazing! Always came back to a clean and fresh room. Front desk well staffed and always greeted you as you walked by. Paradox is definitely my go to hotel when staying in Singapore!

I had a wonderful experience at the Paradox Hotel and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. From check-in to check-out, every aspect of my stay exceeded expectations. Special recognition goes to Hasam at the front desk, who was incredibly helpful and welcoming during both my arrival and departure. The breakfast buffet was absolutely fantastic - a great way to start each day with plenty of delicious options. The room itself was clean and comfortable. The location is perfect. Situated right on the river, the hotel is also directly across from dozens of restaurants, bars, and live music venues. No major attraction is more than a 30-minute walk away, but it also sits right next to the bus and subway.

My 3rd stay in Singapore in a short space of time. The other places I stayed were very good. One of them more "up market". But!! The Paradox is central. Everything I wanted was easily accessible. I loved my room layout and the bathroom layout exceeded the others. Staff lovely. Bar and bar area comfortable and accessible. The only negative: a slight mustiness in the room which I did not notice after the first day. A friend on a different floor had the same experience. However I believe the hotel is upgrading. I will stay there again. The positives far outweigh the one negative.
