The surrounding area was deemed by Torontonians as "...extremely unsafe...and I was advised not to walk around. This caused some anxiety. However, the room was more than adequate both in size, layout and cleanliness. Sketchy character in the hallway on the first night...Overall, a solid hotel once inside.

Our stay was disappointing due to continuous noise throughout the night. A group was partying, and we were unable to sleep. Despite raising the issue twice with the front desk, we were told there was no noise disturbance. However, at checkout, staff confirmed that a large group was indeed staying and celebrating. Additionally, the flooring creaked noticeably whenever someone walked in our room or on the floor above. For the same price, there are quieter and more comfortable accommodation options available.

The hotel computer system was down when we checked out. We have to leave our email address to get the receipt which we haven’t seen after 3 days. We paid parking $45 a day at the counter with our credit card, and were told our vehicle’s plate number would be registered with the patrols. However after checking out and driving away, we noticed a “Failed to pay for parking” notice on our windshield. The hotel is upgraded in the deco. But the stairs from the parking to the elevator make it difficult to move our luggage. There’s also no security check from the parking entrance to the hotel elevator. The public could take the elevator to the hotel rooms from the street without being noticed. It is a concern for security.
