Fabulous experience in this beautifully restored monastery, only an 8 min walk from the bus terminal. It is close to a vaporetto stop on the Grand Canal, but it’s very quiet and off the busy thoroughfare. The staff was supremely friendly and helpful AND they include in the cost of lodging free luggage storage and probably the best breakfast we’ve ever eaten in our extensive travels. Did I mention that the bed was more comfortable than at home? Only regret is that we couldn’t have stay longer.

Perfect little place to stay right off the main area and close to the train and water taxi. Amazing breakfast. All the staff were wonderful! For being in an old building it was perfect. Room is small but large enough and the bathroom was excellent. Pretty courtyard to sit in as well. Thank you for hosting us! I would highly recommend this place!!

We had a great stay for one night in a twin suite. It is a beautiful hotel inside. Close to walk to train station and straight over the bridge to canals, restaurants and shops. Staff service, rooms and the breakfast were excellent, thank you!

We had a wonderful 2 nights. Wish for more. My sisters birthday was the second day and they surprised her with a cake for breakfast. They were always there to answer questions. Hotel was so near and convenient to the train station. Breakfast best I have ever had. Amazing decor behind interesting doors. Garden was perfect for breakfast.

Front desk staff were excellent as was the breakfast spread - the most varied buffet I’ve seen outside a cruise ship! The location is ideal for train travellers; no need to worry about crowded ferries when toting bags. The bath/shower was a bit of a squeeze, but nothing you couldn’t adapt to. The old monastery building js a delight, as is the garden area.

The shower was in the middle of the hallway. The hot water pipes are right next to where you stand to take a shower. It gets so heated that I almost burn myself while taking a shower. I found garbage under the bed from previous visitors. The walls are covered in carpet which had a lot of dust. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable.

This is an amazing property in Venice. It was our first trip to Venice and we were so glad we stayed in this neighborhood rather than the crowded area near St Mark’s Square. It is an easy walk (about a mile) to the major tourist attractions and the payoff includes less crowds, more local food and peace and quiet! We will definitely stay here again on a return trip!
