A great little IBIS hotel in district 5. A warm welcome at reception and a modern interior, I loved the pictures of the Lipizzaner stallions in the breakfast room. My cute room was on the top 7th floor. Small but suited me well. Comfy bed, great shower. You can ask for a kettle at reception. The breakfast was superb for 15 Euros each day and set me up for a whole day of exploring. The 5th appears gritty with lots of graffiti but felt perfectly safe. Easy walking distance to the U bahn at Margareten and riding to Karlsplatz, the beautiful church and great Christmas market. Two recommended places to rate are the Augustin restaurant where a got a yummy Viennese meal with a glass of wine for 22 Euros. Also, the very unique Sti Lanka restaurant Colombo Hoppers just a few doors down from the hotel.

Some of the staff are friendly but sometimes it was hard to get assistance. It's a decent hotel on the whole. The expectations should be modest of course.

Very conveniently situated close to various public transport - buses and U4 underground. Staff were friendly and the room/bed was very comfortable. Good value for money. Will definitely consider staying here again next time I’m in Vienna.

Heating the room didn’t work. Mentioned to management. Answer: wait awhile it will kick in. No it didn’t kick in. Several times swipe card toom was de-activated. On one de-activated 4 times. Breakfast was terrific

Poor condition

Overall the hotel is not very clean, very old inside and the air conditioner is very weak. Not really recommend and not worth for the price.

Sink was clogged, wifi stopped working randomly, outlets are far from the bed so if you’d like to charge overnight it is not convenient. The room itself was dirty, stains on the bed. I would definitely not return nor recommend.

Wien Ibis Central

I love Ibis Vienna Central. It's such a clean and comfortable accommodation. Everything was great. Not far from the downtown. Subway or tram stops are around 5 minutes away.
