Millennium Hotel Durham
"Very pleasant stay! The night staff was helpful and friendly!"

Courtyard Durham Near Duke University/Downtown
"The a/c kept cutting out (on auto) and would not run on fan only on temps ranging from 68 when we arrived to 72.) Outside Temps overnight in upper 70’s. Room looked clean enough & inviting - liked the couch /ottoman- but seemed dusty. No extra towels in room for 2 adults (last stay we had 3 complete sets of towels). Lobby looked inviting, but we weren’t staying for the lobby. An off duty construction worker (? Staying on the property?) siting in side building exit on a bench, speaking Spanish, reeking of weed and drinking a huge beer when we were trying to exit to get dinner. Used front entrance upon getting our takeout meal, and he was still there. Disappointed, not to find machine on 1st floor. Was told only upper floors had ice machines, signage inadequate. Had to ask front desk where to go to get ice. Customer service front desk employee arrived late this morning and held up checkout. No other employees visible. No box to place room keys in seen, or we would have simply done that. Unfortunately we will look elsewhere for our next trip."
