Lovely friendly atmosphere, great breakfast and evening meals, beer
The room and food were fanatastic. Unfortunately i fell ill and fhe staff were anazing. Thank you so much for your help and allowing us to check out late. Thank you.
Parking space was a great plus.
A nice old traditional pub with plenty tables outside.
Bed comfortable enough for one night stay.
Good, powerful shower.
Delicious full english breakfast.
Dining room was a little fusty and in need of a some TLC and the evening meal was a bit overpriced for what it was but still an overall charming stay in this gorgeous location.
The bar was just about the cosiest bar that I've ever been in, small but plenty of overspill rooms that each had a fire. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, I've just had a hip operation and a particularly helpful Polish lady helped me up and downstairs with cases.
Great to be able to park right next to the Inn. Early check in and able to leave car on last day so could go for another walk in the area. All staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely room, (room 2) overlooking the front. Quiet, comfortable bed, free toiletries and plenty of tea/coffee etc in room. Great evening meal and great choice for breakfast each morning. Sold ice creams too which was just the job after a long walk around the Langdales on what was a very hot day. Will definitely stay again and recommend.

Great basic rooms for walkers woth dogs. Rooms are comfortable warm and showers are excellent. The breakfasts are fabulous and a great way to fuel up for a day of walking. Great pub food during the day and evening too. Superb location where walkers can walk a number of beautiful routes direct from the front door.
Lovely inn, staff are super friendly and happy to help. Bed was very comfy and the room was spotless. Lovely view out the front to the villiage square and hills beyond.
Lovely Lakeland pub with restaurant and rooms. Great beer, good food and friendly staff. Also dog friendly and great for walkers and bikers.

The parking made a big difference
Staff lovely definitely go back
Accommodation was excellent.
Staff were friendly, helpful and hardworking. Wonderful stay in lovely warm and welcoming surroundings. Excellent menu and great local beers.
Friendly caring staff. Great food and service. Comfortable bedrooms with great attention to detail. 100’s of walks straight from the front door, something to suit all abilities.
A beautiful country inn located at the heart of the South lakes. The rooms are compact but well appointed and comfortable. The food (especially the breakfast) ‘hits the spot’ and the staff are brilliant. The spectacular Langdales are all around with no need to use the car - so just park up and enjoy.
We stayed here on a long weekend with the family and dogs - everything we could have asked for - good location with the Langdales just up the road (easy parking, pay and display), does packed lunches which were superb, very good evening food, good bar and lovely staff who were attentive, very friendly and helpful.
Bus stop opposite to Ambleside and also up to the Langadales for those with no car
Two night stay with my daughter. Beautiful property and excellent food. In stunning surroundings. Loved the hotel. The only thing I would mention is because I booked through hotels .com and not the Inn I wasn’t aware that you have full use of the spa facilities at the Langdale. Had I booked directly with the Inn I would have known. Fortunately though my daughter has a swim suit with her even if I didn’t
