A real find in Anchorage

The amazing staff of this hotel turned a flub into a bonus. Originally we were supposed to have a double room with two beds. We arrived at 9:00 PM and they were not available. The management adapted and gave us two king rooms. Excellent recovery. The design of the hotel is beautiful and feels Like a one of a kind and appropriate for Alaska with its warmth coming from the materials they use. Wood stone leather and textural fabrics complement each other. Comfortable beds and great sheets and pillows. Great food in the Crimson restaurant and great coffee in the room (Illy) and the Canteen. If there is a drawback it’s the layout. Long hallways put you far away from the lobby and for us that was not a problem but for some it might be. The location near the Alaska RR depot and downtown Anchorage’s east side was super convenient.

The location is great and the rooms are so nice! The parking is down behind the building and to check in you have to walk up and around the building. It was dark when we arrived but it was still easy to figure out.

There was little storage in the room which was extremely noisy from street sounds. The shower leaked, the clock was not set, there were only two tissues in the box and only one half roll of toilet paper. The front desk staff was great but that was about it.

Beautiful room and property. Very clean. Front desk service was variable - some staff very helpful and friendly, other less so. Very convenient location to train station and restaurants. Some noise from street. Will definitely go back.
