This was my second trip to Bangkok, Thailand. It was also my second stay at Hotel Mermaid. I love the friendly staff! I told them I would stay again when I returned to Thailand and i did. What a great hotel in an awesome location! It was fun to see familiar faces at the hotel and in the neighborhood. 😊

Lovely stay at this charming hotel in Bangkok! Staff were so friendly and helpful, pool was great after long hot days and it’s in a very good location on the Sukhumvit road. Lots of bars, restaurants and shops easily walkable and it’s just off the road so it’s quiet. Metro and overground train stations also very nearby.

They no longer have a restaurant at the hotel nor do they offer dining options such as room service which they advertise. For a 4 star I thought these features were required however you are in Bangkok and dining options are abundant.

Hotel Mermaid is clean comfortable with a spacious room. The staff are helpful and friendly. The only issue (if you can call it one) is you have to go to hotel next door for breakfast, the breakfast is excellent with wide range of choices. This is my third visit now. A recommendation in its self.

The hotel itself was ok. The price was right and it was clean. The website said there were restaurants and a bar, there was not. There was no place on site to eat or have a drink. The location was great. Walkable to a lot of fun places in Bangkok. If you want a nice clean room and dont mind walking a little, it’s perfect.

Very good, ideal for visiting the area, large room clean with regular housekeeping and friendly and welcoming staff.The only problem was too soft bed, bad for back and noise from adjoining room guests.

Peaceful location

The hotel is peaceful and well run,reception and housekeeping were excellent.The hotel is perfectly situated many bars and restaurants are just a few minutes walk away yet the hotel offers an enclave of quiet away from the busy nightlife.Great swimming pool too.I will return.

We had a room with a King bed. It was very comfy! The pool is a good size (pool is not heated at end of January, so it was refreshing). Super accommodating staff! Can't say enough about them! Great walkability to the bus stops, the BTS and Metro lines at Terminal 21 (food court there has nice cheap food there) 7/11's are close. Room was quiet enough (heard a few muffled conversations but was all quiet when we went to bed - wear ear plugs if you need to). Many close eating establishments, massage places, street food at different times too. Only minor issue was the flooring in our room. The click and lock laminate floors had lots of gaps in each row. We will be staying there again in a few. Weeks when we finish up our trip! Easy to get around!
