Good value, well done IBIS.

Budget price for a good budget hotel. It sufficed, was clean and warm. Bed wasn't to most comfortable but slept well regardless. Dont like a cheap laminated floor in a room, but understand why. Nice large, modern, real walk in shower was appreciated. Couldnt sync/cast to tv so stuck with bog standard freeview channels. Breakfast was more than amply, freinldy staff. Great value, was happy with what was offered, would definitely stay again.

Good but needed a once over

Everything was fine apart from a couple of cleanliness issues. We've stayed here many time and never had any issues but this time there were a couple of things. the spare pillows were unclean and had to be changed for new ones. I could feel something under the bottom sheet so moved it to find large crumbs and the final thing in the morning when I moved the curtain all the way back there was a dog treat. I thought the animal friendly rooms were meant to be cleaned better than normal rooms but this one clearly hadn't been.

Would happily return here

We stopped for a night to break up a long journey. We were happy with the room comfort, friendly service and the fact that all rooms are dog-friendly. The pet fee was a very reasonable £10. Breakfast was decent quality and everything had been cleaned and restocked after a large coach party had theirs. The Toby Carvery next door is advertised as open until 10pm but apparently food stops at 8.30, which meant we were too late, but we had a takeaway delivered and the Ibis staff happily lent us plates and cutlery. Overall a really good budget stay, we would go back.
