Good overnight sleep.

Didn't see much of the hotel, but did get a nice evening-drink sitting outside and enjoying the view with the lake and mountains. We had hoped it was possible to stroll a walk along the lake, but we couldn't.

The views from the 3rd floor lake view balcony rooms were truly breathtaking (for which I paid extra). The communication before my stay and the overall service was excellent. A highly recommended hotel.

Schöne Lage aber ungepflegte Zimmer

Zuerst zum Positiven: Die Lage ist sehr schön, direkt am See und der Service auf der Terrasse war aufmerksam und freundlich. Andererseits war es schade, dass die Wiese mit den Sitzmöglichkeiten am See nicht bewirtet war (das kann bei mässigem Wetter gut nachvollzogen werden) aber auch nicht gepflegt wirkte. Im Häuschen war ein riesiges Durcheinander und auch das Mobiliar wirkte nicht gepflegt. Darüber kann man aufgrund des wunderbaren Ausblicks jedoch hinweg sehen. Was aber gar nicht geht, war das Zimmer. Im Bett waren gelbe Flecken (zum Glück unter!) unter dem Fixleintuch zu erkennen, dennoch war dies nicht einladend. Das Kissen war enorm dick und sehr unbequem, ein Zweites dünneres gab es nicht. Die Toilette war nicht sauber, es klebten noch Haare dran. Das schlimmste waren aber die Fugen der Dusche, diese und auch die Gummilippen waren verschimmelt und dreckig. Diese müssten dringend neu gemacht werden! Ebenfalls löste sich der Gummi Lichtschalter auf, das war eklig zum anfassen. Alles in allem: Für eine Nacht geht es und ich hoffe, es sind nicht alle Zimmer gleich schlimm. Dennoch für rund 200.-- pro Nacht ist das nicht akzeptabel. Schade für das Hotel an der schönen Lage, es müssten dringend die Details in den Zimmern erledigt werden, damit man sich wohl fühlt!

Wonderful location

A classic hotel right on the shore of Vierwaldstädtersee, with an amazing view of the lake and the mountains. Very friendly staff. Very good breakfast. Parking included in the price. Clean. Towels changed every day. Good wifi. The ferry to Gersau departs right from the spot. The hotel itself has seen better days and could benefit of a refurbishment. No minibar/fridge.

This was an excellent hotel , we had a family room , which consisted of a separate single bed and a king bed in the very large lounge area , and 2 separate bathrooms , the balconies looked out onto both the lake and sideways at the hills , the only thing it didn’t have was air conditioning, but they did provide fans in both rooms , it was over 30 degrees for our visit , so not sure if that’s normal , we used the restaurant for one evening meal and the food was lovely , and one member of staff went above and beyond , explaining in English what things were , not sure if her name . The receptionist that greeted us was also fantastic, even lent us an adapter as I did not realise Switzerland had a different plug adapter to the uk , the lake area had lots of sunloungers , a bar and you could swim in the lake from some steps ,would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone

Beautiful lake property

This property is situated on a stunning lake. The customer service experience was inconsistent. The food at the restaurant was fantastic; however, they closed the kitchen at 9:30 PM, even on weekends. Hotel guests would benefit greatly if they were given priority for reservations or dining at the restaurant, or if the kitchen hours were extended. Additionally, the hotel should invest in air conditioning for the rooms, as they tended to be warm during the night.
