Staff were lovely, room was nice, all clean. Nothing to complain about, hotel could do with a lick of paint and food was pleasant and well priced but a bit over seasoned and average. Would come back and would recommend for value

Lots of character, especially if you aren't from the UK. Charming decor. Good pub food. The downside is that it's not very convenient. The building is old and to get to the rooms there are a lot of stairs up and down with turns along narrow corridors. It adds to the charm, but it's not easy with bags. The service was ok, but not great.

The staff were courteous but I got the feeling they were short staffed. The chef very kindly helped me bring my bag down the stairs. 🙂 The bed was quite hard. The room was quite expensive. I had thought I'd paid for breakfast but seemingly not.

Fabulous place to stay, friendly staff, clean and spacious room with a very comfortable bed. Big bar area serving reasonably priced drinks. Would definitely stay here again if we return to another event at the NEC.
