Friendly hotel near Bournemouth rail station. Unfortunately the rail station is not particularly near central Bournemouth, 15mins walk or buses from the rail station. Helpful staff and good breakfast.

The hotel caters for all your needs. However, it is all a bit run down,especially the pool / sauna area

There was a cracked basin in the bedroom which is not hygienic. At breakfast on our last day at the hotel a shard of plastic was found in the sauce. In the jug of milk was found to be presumably a piece of lettuce or green vegetable. Finally as leaving with our luggage we could not call the lift to our floor. I had to leave our luggage and run to the ground floor to call tgeblift up to the first floor.

My first & surely will not be my last visit to The Elstead Hotel exceeded my expectations based on previous reviewd that I read prior to my stay. Front Reception desk staff very helpful - no problem with early / late check-in as was the case with myself. Very friendly & cheerful reception desk staff. Staff in Resturant also very worthy of a mention - hard-working & friendly. Did not use the facilities of the on site leisure facilities, due to a current knee issue / injury this time, but plan to return to The Elstead again in July and will avail of them at that time. Obviously would highly recommend to anyone looking for reasonably priced hotel accommodation in Bournemouth with good breakfasts / evenibg meals and plenty of parking. 15 minute walk to Town Centre.

Useful central location

Pros: Location
Cons: WiFi needs improving in bedrooms (excellent in public areas)
A three night stay. Close to the centre of town. Good parking. Excellent buffet breakfast. Friendly staff. Quiet room, very clean.

Easter week end break

Pros: The Staff were helpful and friendly room was comfortable and clean everything that was provided was neatly laid out
Cons: I looked for garlic breaded mushrooms on the menu alas not there but no problem just me i love them
Location: not to far from all the fun things that our G- grand daughter wanted to do
we bought our great grand daughter with us her first in a hotel she is only 6 but she loved it, every time we went out she said are we going back to the hotel yet , we could not fault it
