Spacious room with a balcony , seriously cold aircon as well which meant a good nights sleep during the heatwave Fridge in room and a huge comfy bed Lots of parking as well Way better value than other hotels in the area

Kitsch and old fashioned decor - exemplary service

Clean & Tidy hotel if slightly old fashioned decor - think conference hotel built in the 70’s / 80’s… but this is where the criticism starts and stops. Service = amazing Cleanliness = Top Notch Staff = attentive and super friendly Yes it is a little old fashioned and the decor could do with updating (for the love of God, get rid of some of the kitsch furniture and mismatched objet D’art!) but this place oozes charm and the service and people make it a trip worth making. I’d stay again and recommend you do too!

The area around the hotel is tatty. Also the leisure facilities were not available but we had been pre-warned of this. The breakfast was good, it is just a shame that there has been little maintenance around the property and surroundings. Commercial vehicle drivers should be made aware that there is a charge for parking and that the vehicles remain at the entrance car park rather than allowed in the car park close to reception, meaning that security of vehicles could be a concern.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in.staff did not speak English.full of illegal imagrants and I phone before I stayed and ask that question to be told that no illegal imagrants where at the hotel room smelled musty.also no hot water for a shower.hotel antiquated need knocking down

The hotel itself and the grounds need a lot of attention. The hotel rooms and communal areas are very dated. Some serious money needs to be spent on this hotel to spruce it up as there is so so much potential in this place its unbelievable. Reception staff was not very helpful but not sure whether that was because of a language barrier, I don't think I see any member of staff whilst we was there that spoke English as their first language. We asked reception to order us a taxi as we was attending an event, the driver charged us £30 to go less than 3 miles. When I asked the staff on reception what the taxi company was called they couldn't give us an answer. We used a different taxi company from North camp and was charged £13.40 to go back to the hotel. If you ask the hotel to book you a taxi I would ask the driver how much it will be before you start your journey. Food was edible but not worth the price you pay for it and the bar prices are ridiculously expensive.

Shabby wouldn’t stay again

The whole place is tired and dated and in need of a good clean, there’s the asylum seeker hotel across the road all facilities where closed the swimming pool empty and not in use the bar didn’t open til 3 and was very expensive and making up prices as they went the breakfast was poor and under cooked my room was infested with spiders

Nice location, very reasonable price but nothing

Never been in a hotel that was so empty. Only a few buisnessmen/tradespeople. Lovely view of the lake, & although I didn't pay the extra for room with lake view, I was given one- thanks. Breakfast buffet ok, very little choice for dinner so didnt bother. 5 min drive to Village & different eating options. I booked because I'm sure I saw it had a gym & pool but booking confirmation then clearly said both not in operation at that time. Looking through the window, it hasn't been used for a long time. Nice location, very reasonable price but nothing special.
