I liked the property and its services and staff. However, the "All" inclusive it is NOT inclusive if you want decent wines, NOT better you need to buy $600 MX at least to get a $10-12 USD wine bottle. Also, we were charged some bogus non disclosed beach cleaning fee when the beach was full of seaweed. The Tios(Spaniards) could do better with the house wine than thay cheap ass Tempranillo that it is NOT even good for a Kalimotxo. Get, wine from Baja. Cheaper and better. I almost bought the membership, but couldn't gift weeks to whoever I choose, whether family or friend without paying extra fees. EVERYTHING is an upgrade there. Other than that it is a lovely place. Cheers!!!

Staff was super nice, accommodating, and understanding. They helped with everything my partner and I were confused about, and we are some shy people so they helped us out a lot. They have 3 areas to dine: The deck, Umami, Chianti & Tacos Villanos and all were delicious. While the deck was more buffet like, the food was good for the amount there was and for it being resort food. However, Umami and Chianti had amazing food and a really good selection, each time my partner and I went we left with a stuffed stomach. The great thing about these places is that if we stayed a certain amount of days we were able to get free dinner, since we stayed 2 weeks we had 3 days at chianti & 2 at Umami. Umami has hibatchig which the reservation is needed for, or you can just go in to the sushi bar and eat, most things on that menu are all included. Tacos villanos were really good too but we paid out of pocket, which was more than fine for us considering all the free food we were getting. The housekeeping staff was kind to call and even slip a paper under our door to see if we wanted our room clean, and they were quick to come and clean. The area around the hotel was beautiful and walkable, we never felt unsafe. I would recommend this hotel to people who have never been to cancun. 10/10

We booked 1 King Bed with 398 sqft but the staff downgraded us and positioned it as an “upgrade” to ocean view, while the actual room was really tiny with only 100+ sqft; it was just a double bed and smelly, let along it was just partial ocean view and the balcony doors couldn't function. Eventually we got the right room back but had to carry huge luggage all the way down from the 5th floor (no elevator) and across buildings. When we just arrived, the concierge kept pushing services even when we told him we were starving and tired. Nights were super loud with shows going until midnight, so make sure you bring earplugs. That said, I’m still giving credit that the staff are very friendly and patient. I saw the manager was onsite every day which was appreciated. The two restaurants serve great food. They had loud construction going on during our stay so make a note of that if you plan to book this place in the next 2-3 months.

First day. I dont understand the positive reviews. Absolutely nothing special. Beach chairs are terrible, beach sargoso is not treated, food is average, "upscale" restaurants think they can require formal attire, drinks take forever and beer is warm. If you want something other than modelo, its extra. Service is below average of other resorts. Last day- Final thoughts are not much different than the first day. By Day 3, we gave up on eating in the hotel. The food was just pretty terrible at all times and days. The beach was plowed everyday after the first so we did have a nice beach day on the last day. Also shout out to Rafael, the bartender in the Lobby Bar. He should be in Vegas. And Luis on the beach. Overall, NYX is not a 4.5 star resort. At least not in Cancun. We will leave disappointed.
