Two doors down is an abandoned building with gang graffiti on it and boarded up windows. The property could be better maintained. Food was better than expected. Service at the beach was exceptional. Luis A+++. He even saw us leaving and brought us our bottles of our drinks of choice !

Food wasn’t the best and they close the pool pretty early and only let some people swim after hours. Don’t follow their own rules of their resort so it was a bit confusing but it has beautiful views and

First of all the property is NOT all inclusive. I have been to many places that were all inclusive and this place by far is not. They have one breakfast area, same food every day. The Italian restaurant and Japanese restaurant you can go only one time. We got sick at the Italian restaurant, although it was very nice, the presentation was nice, but no one can explain what any of the food is anywhere. No one speaks English and can explain what you are eating. The Japanese restaurant was very nice, food good. No one new that you can go to the sushi bar without reservations, and there the food was delicious and was explained pretty well. Great place, good food. Remember you must wear shoes - men to all the restaurants which we did not know. The hotel is clean very nice, we did upgrade our room for a great view, again however, we had to ask for towels all the time, and they were stiff and hard. We had to ask for water bottles every day as well. The bars were okay you the bar tenders were very nice and made good drinks, water down alcohol so you can drink all day. I feel that it would have been nice if English was spoken more often especially in the restaurants. They did have a lunch place, same food every day in the evening you could go to the outside restaurant for the buffet. Once again, not all inclusive, had I known what I know now I would definitely not go to this hotel. I know the folks at the desk were very nice and helpful and the gentlemen too there. Notafan

Do not come to this resort if you are looking for a peaceful relaxing time. It’s is overcrowded, there are not enough pool / beach chairs to accommodate everyone; the beach and pool are noisy and you are on top of other guests. The dining options are very limited and you cannot get a reservation at the specialty restaurants; we managed 1 in 9 nights. It’s noisy! At night the sound from the karaoke carried up to our room on the 3rd floor and we could hear every word. In the morning from 8 am they were jackhammering. We contacted Expedia to change our reservation after 2 days but the hotel refused to give a refund. It was that bad we tried to go home! The alcoholic drinks were made with cheap local liquor and even after 10 we were not intoxicated. There was nothing deluxe about our deluxe room. The fan didn’t work, the AC thermostat didn’t work so the AC was either off or freezing and we didn’t even have a plug for the sink. The balcony was so narrow you could only sit sideways on a chair. The only positive for this hotel is that the staff are amazing and were always kind and helpful.

The property is a smaller resort with about 190 rooms. The staff are very kind, and very helpful. NYX is located directly on the beach and offers both all-inclusive and hotel options. Drinks can be enjoyed in the large lobby-in the evening- and on the beach and at poolside as well as the restaurant. The design is beautiful and relaxed. There are welcoming large sofas in the air-conditioned lobby. There are three restaurants that offer a variety of REALLY good food. I went to relax alone, and this place is perfect for that. There are also groups, weddings, families, and people of all nations- it's a comfortable mix of vacationers. You will love it. I promise. My room was large and serene- the rooms are all different- this is not a cookie cutter hotel, but a place of narrow passageways and brightly lit towers with surprising views. The outdoor hot tubs are lovely, and the foliage is large and lush with blooms of many colors.

It is about the hotel and they blame expidia about the room and the number of people coming in it was me my wife and daughter of 16yrs that they said that on the order, I did a note that the child was one year old, the reservation was for one room two beds and they gave me one room one bed and they charge me extra $720dlls for my daughter

The food was great, especially at the “Deck.” I was disappointed that this hotel advertised as adult only and all-inclusive; however, that’s not the truth. This is false advertisement to lure people. I will never booked a room at this hotel again.

We had to pay for a room upgrade because we didn’t want to walk up 4 flights of stairs every time to reach our room. My husband has bad knees and that was not disclosed. The wait staff didn’t have very many fluent English speakers. They would pretend they knew what we asked and bring us the wrong thing all of the time. We won’t stay there again
