As we arrived to the property we were greeted by the hotel personnel.  Right after we walked in to check in, there was a server offering drinks.  We found that perfect, as there was a line at check in.   Once it was our turn to check in we were told that they were oversold on rooms.   That they didn’t have any rooms available until the next day.  They offered us to go to a different hotel and extra compensation with that but it was very disappointing. 
I declined the offer,  and the young lady who was helping my group of 8 (adults and children) was able to put us in 2 VIP adults only rooms for the night and then moved us to our permanent rooms.  
Next day we packed our belonging and got moved to our ocean view rooms.   
The staff works hard to make sure guests are not unhappy but I think management needs to step up in this kind of situations and apologize to the guests.  Leaving everything to the associates it’s not the way to go.  
The property is in good condition.  
I loved the shows they had available for the kids.
Pool area lis maintained clean. 
Rooms were cleaned daily.  Cleaning staff would leave a cute towel animal on top of the bed.  
We visited 4 of restaurants in the resort and my favorite was the steak house.  The food was delicious.  Server Martin and Memo were very attentive.  Manager of the steak house was  able to accommodate us for dinner on our last night at the resort.  Italian concept Venecia was also a favorite.  Lunch and Dinner buffets were good.
