Staff was amazing 😍. The view was great. Landscape was good. Swimming pools were a bit dirty, with guests discarded cups, etc. the constant smell of gas from nearby jet skis. And when one stepped into the balcony, the air conditioner noise was super loud

Rooms were clean and staff members were nice and working hard. Also balcony were big enough but you could hear next doors people talking out in the balcony just like they were next to you. One day after mid night and had to call lobby to have someone come up and talk to next door because it was too loud and Finally we had to change room. Breakfast was great and staff members are nice but some of them do not smile at all. Rooms were clean bathroom smells.

My stay was supposed to be from 10/18/2025 to 10/25/2025, but it did not happen due to a health problem with my 5-year-old son that started at the airport, and we had to seek medical attention, being unable to continue the trip due to his health condition and medical certificate. We had full understanding and support from the airline, which understood the delicate and emergency situation, granting us a refund and the opportunity to reschedule the tickets. From the beginning, we tried to negotiate with the Riu Palace Peninsula hotel so that in the future we could make this trip that is so important for my family, but they did not respond for days and only replied at the end of the stay, denying the cancellation and rescheduling. We were very disappointed with the treatment we received; I thought from the beginning that, being such a highly rated network, we would have excellent, proactive, and understanding service.

Really enjoyed this property. My family and I had a good time. The rooms could definitely use a remodel, but it sounds like that’s already in the works for the hotel. Other than that. The food was great. The service was also wonderful.

Food is great and the restaurant are all tasty only make sure get there early because once it’s fully reserved they stop taking people. They have shows/ entertainment daily and live music to dance to, plus the pool parties with diff themes. Rooms are clean and all drinks inside are free from charge. Would recommend this hotel.

I got robed by the pool area, I went to make a report with the front desk and they told me that it wasn’t their fault which obviously wasn’t, but I was just trying to to see if they were able to show me the recording since they’re was a camera running in front of I left my stuff. The manager was very rude and at one point, he started laughing at me. I had trouble to Cancun many times and this is the first time that I encounter a situation like this one I will recommend this hotel at all

Birds were picking food up from the buffet tray. I had to immediately leave the facility. I uber eats and went out to dinner. There was no way I was eating the food and the little food I tasted was subpar. Drinks were watered down as well. Never coming back to a riu.
