Staff here need retraining on customer care with priority on not ignoring customers checking in; smiling when serving them at the bar and not using a drill on an adjacent bedroom door at 9am. Bar prices exorbitant. Air conditioning in bedroom broken. Nothing special about room.

Great central location

Lovely overnight stay at the marriott Cardiff-easy check-in. Shame only 1 out of 3 lifts working when we checked in but by the evening 2 lifts were working. Room spacious and lovely comfy bed and pillows. Easy walk for all of Cardiff city centre bars, restaurants and shopping. Lovely breakfast (self service) in browns restaurant . All the staff friendly and helpful. Would recommend a stay here

We really enjoyed our stay at the Marriott. All the staff were friendly. Our room was spacious and well equipped. The Browns bar and restaurant created a great atmosphere in the hotel and we especially liked listening to the live pianist.

The Hotel was welcoming and friendly. However, the room we were in could have done with an refurbishment. The bed was not particularly comfortable and the room was cold with the A/C control inoperative. Restaurant and Bar to a good standard and service was good if not a bit on the pricey side for drinks.

I love this hotel and stay frequently. The Cardiff national museum is close by and I always sleep well at the Marriott. Staff are friendly and lovely.

Nice but not so nice

Great location and overall good conditions. Staff was not able to find my bonvoy membership that was very annoying for me. Also, we booked the room for 4 people and there were only 3 bath towels. This is not acceptable for a Marriott chain.

1. The TV is not working. I reported it to the hotel staff but no one went there to fix it. 2. The reception desk didn't give me the free wifi password during the check-in. I needed to ask them to have the password.
