It was just ok, excepted more from the Hilton.

Overall, the stay was ok. My partner has a skin condition which caused him to bleed on to the sheets, this could be seen and unfortunately, the sheets were not changed. Thr fridge light indicated it work but it was not working and did not keep our water cold. The bed was not comfortable. As it is a Hilton hotel, I would have hoped for more.

Lovely hotel. Helpful, friendly staff. Super breakfast. The suite was disappointing- we had upgraded from an executive castle view room to an executive suite. The suite was at the rear of the hotel with views of the bins. The facilities in the suite were lacking / not working, (no drawers, no dressing table, no chair, broken light and fridge, and no view of the castle). I would stay there again, but would book a castle view room rather than a suite.

Polite helpful staff, especially in the breakfast room which was very busy on the Sunday morning. Room facilities were very good. Hotel needs to get the 2nd lift in the foyer fixed. Accept need time but guest in lift had stayed 3 months ago & it wasn't working then. All in all nice location & hotel

Not what you expect from a Hilton

1) No parking at the hotel, separate fee of £60 to park 1 block away & this was not mentioned on the website. No valley or assistance to/from offsite car park. 2) Guests of the hotel had restrictions on when thepool and sauna could be accessed… again not mentioned on the website. 3) Very limited drinks in the hotel bar (no cocktail's) and the front bar seemed to be open to anyone (non guests). 4) Food menu and room service menu was very limited and very long wait times (1 hour). In summary I spent almost £1000 for a two night stay (5 star fees) for what was at best a 2 star service and experience. Based upon my experience I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great hotel - just 2 small gripes

Great hotel, friendly staff - especially the lady seating people for breakfast who was very knowledgeable about dietary requirements and just generally very friendly. There is nowhere on the website that its says children (mine are 13 and 15) cannot use the pool unless an adult gets in with them - my children we’re disappointed not to be able to use the pool and i think the minimum age needs to be clearer. We used the stairs to get to our room. This is the only part of the hotel that felt dated and as the staff use the emergency exit to go out and smoke on a number of occasions it really smelt of smoke. Apart from those things we had a good stay and i would definitely return to this hotel

Great hotel, easy check in. Good central location but really quiet in the rooms. Good gym and pool facilities. Bar and restaurant on site good but easy access to the city for any variety. Helpful concierge and off site parking but only 2 mins walk away. All good!

Lovely room

The room was absolutely immaculate not a single issue it was spotless, such a lovely cosy room too nice and spacious with everything you need a a great deep bath and lovely separate shower. Just room was very cold and the beds are not comfortable and there was a lot of noise.

Short weekend stay - was ok

The room itself was nice with a good quality bed, tv and good facilities however there was a terrible drain smell every time we entered the room. I was disappointed not to have been given a glass in request from the bar as I was with my 12 year old daughter and so drinking in the bar was not appropriate on a Saturday night with so many adults wishing to enjoy a grown up evening. We had a comfortable night sleep as the beds were very nice. However, we wanted to enjoy the leisure facilities the next morning and they are looking incredibly tired and run down, some very poor attempt at covering exposed building work with white sheeting. Not quite the whole experience you would expect with a Hilton. However, staff were great in the main (except for the bar staff who told me they had “run out” of champagne flutes when I asked. Location is very good indeed.
