Characteristic hotel offering good value for money

Pros: Great character and beautiful grounds
Cons: An iron and ironing board to be provided in each room. Few people want the hassle of having to ask for one to sent up. Training for staff.
Location: Affluent commuter town and the home of Guinness
Staff were welcoming and helpful and the rooms were spacious and well equipped. A really nice buffet style breakfast is provided too. The one let down was no milk for the tea/coffee, which was purely down to poor housekeeping. At check out I waited to be asked "was everything ok with your stay?", where I would have mentioned it but the receptionist didn't bother to ask and she wasn't under any pressure (there was only me there). This shows a lack of training.
