Super experience - very friendly front desk staff, they sent 2 maintainence guys to my room in miutes when I couldnt figure out the climate control panel. The matteress was like brand new with down and foam choice pillows. Large shower head was a big plus. Small rooms but mine had a full side work desk and side chair - all I needed for my 3 days business stay! HIGHLY recommend

Nice stay in overall! There is $5 charge to luggage storage (a little disappointing, cuz it’s free at any other hotel I have stayed in).However fee is waived if you leave a review online . Staffs are friendly. Even though they said breakfast is included: however it’s only coffee and fruits( apple/bananas) so I don’t consider it a real ‘breakfast’ given my experience at many hotels.

The rooms have no charm, are extremely small (you can barely put the seat in front of the desk!). Bathroom and floor are clearly outdated. They ask you an extra fee for "coffee, hot water and gym" which you have for free in many hotels,and not available all day, but just in the morning (except expresso) no kettle in the room. Bottles available at $8. It looks like they try to save on everything they can. The doors are very loud and you can hear everything that happen in the corridors. Besides all these bad sides, the hotel/room is clean and staff very available and kind, but no enough to make me come back.

We had to leave earlier than expected and were very happy to have access to the breakfast on-demand before it's regularly scheduled opening time. A little disappointed that we were only allowed to have one thing. We paid extra for a breakfast packaged which ended up being the most expensive muffin I've ever had. On the bright side... The muffin was fresh and delicious...

The hallway seemed a little shabby, the desk in the room was all scratched up, the ice machine in the hall could be heard in my room. A coffee maker in the room would be a good improvement. Also, there was pee in the toilet when I arrived.

It was my first time in Chicago plus I was travelling with my two service dogs and I couldn't have chosen a better hotel option. The room and experience was very reminiscent of Fairmont (I usually stay at a Fairmont but I wasn't able to secure the room needed for the dates) but with a considerable cost savings so I definitely chose well. Will absolutely recommend The Felix to anyone I know travelling to Chicago as a solid hotel option.
