My husband and I a wonderful time visiting Cork city and staying at the conveniently located Issacs Hotel near the river and all the shopping and dining at our doorstep. The hotel is a remodel of a historic property with touches of antiquity instead of the usual boring hotel box. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, even allowing us to check in a bit earlier when they were full to capacity on a Saturday night before Easter Sunday. The bar and restaurant is lively attracting locals as well as tourists but I didn’t feel it was excessively noisy in our room and the party disbanded at an appropriate time to get a good nights rest. We thought the breakfast buffet was above average for its type and they brought out an enormous pot of coffee right away. Thanks. We’d definitely return if we’re in the area again.

Cork is an easy walkable city. Location of the hotel is a perfect base for this. We enjoyed eatting at Greenes below the hotel. Our room was lovely, large & comfortable. Staff was friendly. Great place to stay.

Loved the location of this property. It is located in a walkable shopping and dining area. It’s conveniently located near Blarney Castle and Cork City Gaol, if you’re looking for some historical sight seeing. The St. Patrick’s Street shopping district is worth checking out also. There is a car park within a few minute walk which was easy access. The staff were friendly and the room was comfortable and clean. We would definitely return for future visits in Cork.

Bring your earplugs

Pros: amazing location, super helpful and friendly staff, delicious hot breakfast. Cons: crazy loud (sounded like a nightclub), hot room with no air conditioning.
