When I arrived, the staff greeted me pleasantly. When I first went to my room, I was very happy. The room was clean and the necessary amenities were provided. The cleaners did a fantastic job on day three of my stay. In terms of my room, the negatives were an extremely loud extractor fan and the door itself let a lot of external sound in. The food in the restaurant was lovely and the waitresses I had were fantastic. Unfortunately, the second night there was an issue. Although I paid for half-board in advance, I went to the restaurant and was informed that there was no table for me. As such, I went to the bar but I had to wait over two hours. Due to the long wait, I ordered dinner to my room and was able to eat this around 8.30 which was much later than I anticipated. I was expecting a free meal for this issue but was given a £5 reimbursement for the cost of room service. This was a little frustrating but I did not push. The leisure facilities were lovely, although the jacuzzi was not working, which was a shame. The grounds are beautiful and are perfect for a walk, even if you don't play golf! I will be definitely returning in the future.

On arrival the reception staff were excellent and this continued throughout our stay. Our room was clean and had the desired facilities. The bed was comfortable. The leisure/health centre was excellent and the pool warm. During our stay the jacuzi was out of order, but I feel sure it would be in service again soon. The evening meal was very good as was the service. Breakfast let it down a bit with some of the items overcooked and the bacon a bit fatty. Overall a great stay and would go again.

Stayed a few times now as local to the office, friendly staff, always welcoming. Food good and decent selection, I have only ever eaten in the bar area which can get busy. The rooms are comfortable and have everything you require, they are a little tired in places but this doesn’t alter your stay, some complimentary water would be nice touch.

Good family trip, well located hotel

Was over for a wedding at nearby Dodford. Well located and more budget friendly. Despite this, amenities are great. Good pool and gym in separate building, nice lounge. Drinks on the expensive side, but food fair for the standard. Main reason for very favourable review was the staff, who were accommodating, friendly and wanting to please. Would return if in the area

Overall we had a great stay, however this is our third visit and we found our room was quite tired and needing repair in several places, our hair dryer almost caught fire and we were given misleading information about booking the restaurant. Well to begin we paid the same anount as our family and they got bigger rooms. Apparently the two superior rooms are different. Secondly i got served food at the restaurant 20 minutes after my family recieved their food. Thirdly I got over charged for my dinner and had to go back to get a refund. Lastly we opened our door to get some fresh air and huge dog appeared trying to get in. Lucky we managed to close the door as I was worried for my child’s life.
