The biggest standout for us was the courtesy and hospitality of the staff, whether at the front desk or breakfast room. Impressive to see these days and very friendly. This hotel should be a bit more ambitious as a boutique property. The subcontinent look and feel is very welcoming. We noticed that the rooms are a little worn and could use some refreshing. The most negative comment is about the beds which should be replaced. Both were single beds The mattresses are far too hard and we missed the Swiss style feather duvets to which we have become accustomed over many years of travel in Switzerland. The buffet breakfast while above average could use a bit of a reboot. We would recommend an improvement in both the size and quality of the breakfast pastries notably the croissants. The breakfast room is warm and comfortable. The small self serve bar in the lobby is also a welcome feature. With some relatively small tweaks we would have no hesitation in recommending more enthusiastically this hotel so well located and within walking distance of the train station.
