The place is in a terrible state of disrepair, the floors are dirty, the lamp doesn’t work, the furniture is grotty, the lift doesn’t work. On the positive the bedding and towels were clean and the staff were friendly.

Amazing hotel for business travel, I would highly recommend this hotel. The location is perfect for visiting local businesses for work. The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. Nothing is ever too much trouble if you have an issue to resolve, a home from home feeling.

I use this hotel on a regular basis when working in the Gloucester region I would highly recommend this hotel to any business person traveling to the Gloucester area The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and go out of their way to ensure you have a good stay. A few days ago I had a problem starting my car, the staff came out to help me start it and ensure I was not late for my meeting. A big thanks for that.

Worst hotel ever

I am writing this review to formally advise people not to stay at Orchard hotel, the experience was far below the standards I expected and caused significant disruption and distress. During the night, my husband and I were woken by police knocking on our door, (number 34) looking for an individual who did not reside in our room. They also disturbed other guests in the same manner. This was an extremely unsettling experience which left us unable to sleep for the rest of the night. When my husband spoke to the manager (Amid)the following day, the response was dismissive and unapologetic, with the suggestion that we should have gone downstairs to request another room. This did not address the issue at all and felt unprofessional. In addition, the room itself was in very poor condition. There were scratches, dents, and holes in the walls, and the overall state of the accommodation was outdated and uncomfortably hot. These conditions were not reflective of what was advertised. When we later contacted the hotel to request a refund or partial refund, this was refused. The staff we spoke to were rude, dismissive, and made unprofessional remarks, implying that the hotel could not simply give refunds to “everyone who complained.” I found this attitude unacceptable and not in line with the standards of hospitality. The only positive part was the young lad on reception Who could not apologise enough? He told us that it was a young lad living next door to our room, he has been there a

Avoid, avoid, avoid!

This room is NOT as described in the literature and the photos I saw before booking, were very clearly NOT taken in this particular hotel. I cannot believe that the many highly positive reviews I read online were genuine, as this establishment lived up to none of the glowing descriptions I’ve read. The room is foul smelling and filthy - I can’t imagine the carpet has been vacuumed any time in the recent past. The beds are poorly sprung and are clearly well past their reasonable working life. As if by magic (it’s 01:05 on Sunday morning just now), 2 fire engines, the police and an ambulance have all just arrived at the hotel and are parked outside our window, engines running and with people shouting and milling about outside - I dare not imagine what is happening elsewhere in the hotel…. This experience has been a total disappointment and I’ve only been in the room for an hour… To add insult to injury, the TV doesn’t work and there is only 1 coffee cup in our twin room… There is absolutely nothing to recommend this hotel - I will be requesting a refund as soon as I get a moment.

Bad experience

Hotel needs a deep clean and renovation, room was dirty not cleaned at all only thing ok was the bedding was clean, showed 3 other rooms which all in the same state, eventually took a room which was a little better although I had to ask for it to be hoovered and I had to clean the room myself, we asked for a refund and was refused so we checked out in the morning
