"This is one of the most stocked kitchens of a rental I've ever experienced. My husband and I enjoy cooking when away and were very pleased to have access to all the kitchen tools. The knives were actually sharp which has never been the case. We bought fresh lobsters in town and did our own lobster rolls which was possible due to the stocked kitchen. Coffee filters and grounds were available as well as some local craft beers in the fridge, which my husband enjoyed. The views in the morning are tough to beat and the nightly fires in the fire pit were truly memorable. We came during fall break for the colors and hikes in Acadia and could not have timed it better. The changing leaves were absolutely stunning. The drive to Bar Harbor/Acadia was slightly longer than I anticipated but definitely worth it to stay away from town on the lake. Our last trip to Maine we stayed minutes away from Acadia which was nice for short rides into the park but it didn't compare to being secluded with water views. I would recommend this property to anyone! The beds were comfortable, the environment was cozy and welcoming, the views obviously stunning, and the host was great. "
