So nice to stay in something so different to the norm of hotels, old but modern, comfy, relaxing but still able to work.
One of the nicest rooms we ever had the pleasure to stay in. Every detail was thought about. The bed and bedding was most comfortable, the bathroom a dream and the location beautiful and it was pleasantly quiet.
A very enjoyable stay as always after years of visiting and the restaurant is very good accommodating if needed.
The only small feedback - please use a summer duvet on the bed 😌
There was a wedding taking place at the hotel which I was informed about the night before arrival. the music was supposed to finish by 12pm. but it didn't finish until 12.20am, then afterwards the guests where getting back to their rooms until approx 1am, very noisily. The wedding guests made it unpleasant at breakfast swarming around the table where we were sat, there was no concern for personal space.
Hôtel was nice although our room (10) was next to a service cupboard where staff left the door open constantly. Not too happy looking at a washing machine and beer bottle bin every time we left our room. Also we could hear the washing machine being used next morning along with staff chatting outside our room.
Food in the restaurant was ok but very overpriced.
