It’s a hotel, nothing too special tbh… the housekeeping staff do an excellent job, and the breakfast was decent although you can’t take anything back to your room except for some coffee. We were unpleasantly surprised by the $45/daily additional fee for parking .. most rooms don’t have a nice view— we were more fortunate. Close access to Waikīkī beach and also free movie rentals downstairs (one at a time) and there’s laundry downstairs below the lobby for about $3 a wash and $3 dry. Also no late checkouts. Not even 30 mins.

Rowena from the breakfast buffet was very attentive and friendly, chef Ronnie was very friendly and made sure there was always food .Customer service from the front desk and Leo from the baggage counter was quick and helpful. The hotel is very close to the beach, dining and shopping . My favorite was the housekeeping made our stay very comfortable. We always came back with a clean room and fresh towel to use !

The PROs. Easy check in, good location to walk to the beach, has a person to help book trips, and rent cars. Rooms was clean and daily room service was nice. Ocean view was nice, but with that comes with a CON. Free breakfast, but not the kind of foods I consider breakfast (salad and rice ??). Offered free activities to guest in the lobby. Free parking CONs...Parking is terrible, especially at night. The garage parking is designed for small compact cars, so getting into a space and maneuvering was tight. Hated parking there. Surface parking fills up fast. Have to get security to allow you to park into loading spots/employee parking lot. Ocean side rooms - the noise. Drunk people on road screaming and yelling late at night. Cars blasting radios, motorcycles with loud mufflers, could not sleep until I bought ear plugs. Doors slam shut, woken up late at night many times. People just dont care about being loud. No microwave in room. Have to goto 2nd floor where there are 2, people using the room as a hangout, so I avoided it. No drinking cups in the room except for coffee. Lots of homeless people outside the resort, so I was always on guard walking to/from the resort. While the ocean view was nice, I would consider facing the other direction to maybe avoid the road noise.

Waikīkī Resort Hotel was the perfect place to relax and recharge after our busy days exploring. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the location couldn’t have been better—a quick walk to the beach and close to many events and sites. One of the highlights was the lei-making cultural activity, which my daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed. We also loved having the pool almost to ourselves every afternoon—it felt like our own little oasis!
