The hotel was great. The some of the restaurants in Downtown Houston were not open on the weekend. Walking in the area was nice.

The property itself is well maintained. The city has a large homeless population but the main street area is well controlled with lots of security and city staff out during the day time. It was pretty safe to walk main street and enjoy the many, coffee shops, restaurants and bars in the area. We even rode the tram to the NRG center for an event and that went smooth.
