Breakfast lets them down

Stayed here before and generally very happy but a bit of feedback: Pillows are far too soft (i have asked for firmer ones for 2nd night) Breakfast needs some attention. The sign to order veggie sausages etc is not obvious enough and I didn’t know it was there till today although I have been here a few times. The eggs on the serving counter looked horrible (dried up). I did ask for porridge which they ‘cooked’ for me but i was inedible as the oats were hardly cooked at all. Just give breakfast some attention and the hotel is a great choice!

This property is far enough away from the busy areas to be quiet but close enough to walk to shops, restaurants and pubs. The breakfast was fairly good too.

Comfortable visit

Easy to park, comfortable and pleasant room. Liked the temperature but like a bit more weight in bedding but apart from that all good and I will be back

Modern and easy to access however the outside remain old and needs updating. I would suggest night lights or softer lighting as the lights are super bright when going bathroom at night or trying to find way around the room

sort your fire alarms systems so we wouldn't have to get woken up 3 times and walk down 3 flights of stairs to be then sent back to our rooms

Rude staff ruin stay

Very clean. Lovely welcome by desk staff at 3.30. Room immaculate. Bathroom excellent partner especially enjoyed shower. And a very fine breakfast. Tv could do with more options and appreciated the ability to adjust room temperature through windows. Enjoyed our stay so much wanted to stay a little longer. And here we come to the interaction that coloured our whole stay. We politely requested the option to stay a little longer and were met with a flat no. No apologies. No 'let me see what i can do' just 'no' . Seems foolish to me to take such a stance. To lose another revenue stream and to alienate cusromers like this.

Excellent hotel in a great location

Love this hotel and have been staying annually for many years. I had concerns now that it has been taken over by Mecure, but it was very much the same, and it was lovely to see the same staff there as previously, including the very lovely Lindsey.
