I paid for my breakfast. It was good though the fried eggs were hard. The bar manager was excellent, very helpful and courteous. Bar prices ridiculous. Room very good indeed. Clean, comfortable and well appointed.

The rooms are ok. Clean and basic. Soaps and shampoos are good. The elevators are slow, problematic and the key cards are not working properly. Breakfast is basic. The team throughout the hotel are very good and helpful.

Great location which is convenient for Franklin's Gardens, the train and bus stations and the town centre. Unfortunately it is directly opposite a park area which seems to attract a fair few dodgy characters and this is the same for the walk into town. The rooms are clean and modern (duvets and pillows aren't great but what you'd expect at this price point). The bar could do with having someone present to serve behind it on a more regular basis. Breakfast is very good for a buffet with the bacon some of the best I've had. Staff polite and friendly. Our biggest issue during our stay was due to the fact that we had a room overlooking the entrance to the hotel. Being woken at approx 2am by a car full of youths who parked outside, inhaled laughing gas and talked loudly for about an hour wasn't great. I'd have expected them to be moved on but maybe there was no one there to move them on as the reception phone went unanswered.
