I have stayed at the Hampton at Stansted many times and always liked it. Very convenient for the airport, good rooms and friendly staff. Therefore disappointed to find one of the beds in the room was clearly dirty and unwashed. When I reported the hotel was responsive and quickly remade the bed with fresh bedding. Hotel beds with unwashed linen should never happen.

Its not a short walk

I am usually thrilled with any hotel stay and once a year use my keys/ vouchers to book an airport hotel nearby to make life easy when i have a big case . What a mistake . This may be a short walk for young people with a small case but from the station it was over 15 mins for me and hard work with uneven tarmac ramps 2 lifts . It would have been easier to get a bus to the other hotels and be dropped at the door I would not like to have made this walk in the dark Perhaps being hypo after the walk coloured my view but my room had one small window looking over a roof which was at windowsill level . Given solos pay the same room price and eat half as much breakfast it disapoints me when we are stiffed with poor rooms . We should get the best as our profit margins are higher. Staff unfailingly pleasant breakfast superb ....just to prove i usually see the good .....but MUCH prefer liverpool airport HBH

Hotel is very average. I always had the impression that Hilton hotels were classy. Hotel is quite worn out, shabby and not worth the price for nights stay. Waited more than 45 minutes for food with small children late evening. Order was forgotten about 2 times. Restaurant food overpriced for quality and quantity received. Tip automatically added to bill even though the service was unsatisfactory. Breakfast in the morning very basic. Probably wouldn’t stay at a Hilton hotel again.

Very convenient and comfy hotel at Stansted.

Stayed one night before a 7 am departure flight. Great to have the free breakfast buffet going at 4 am. There were a lot of people at it too. Good value and convenient hotel 5 min walk to the Terminal. We’ll stay again after returning to the UK from Italy on a late flight. Nice staff here too.

Proximity to Stansted airport is the key aspect of this hotel. They don’t offer room service which is inconvenient when travelling evenings with a young toddler. Our check in could have been better. We got overlooked for some reason so people behind us where being dealt with before us, even though we had been waiting for a while. We didn’t get offered complimentary water although all the guests around us checking in did. It was an odd experience.
