Arriving on a hot Saturday afternoon in June, we found that the hotel was full with two coach parties. We were allocated to a disabled room; not being used to the low bath for ease of access, water very easily sloshed out and made the entire bathroom floor wet. However, the air conditioning worked well and was welcome. Our patience and allowance for the full hotel ran out in the dining room. We were on a half-board booking, but had to eat early for both meals because of the coach parties. The staff got just about everyrhing wrong and half the menu was not available, The menu was more 'Little Chef' than 4 star - pizza, burger etc, Overall, a disappointing stay - not the relaxing 4 star standard we were expecting,

We are IHG members and entitled for free upgrade if available, however booked a premium room as was only double room available. On arrival we were given a standard twin room when we showed premium double, it was changed for a premium room but still a twin and we were told the double was only a request! So we could have just paid for a standard room after all! Coffee, drinks and snacks were not refilled for 2nd night and yet we paid the same for both nights! Wedding function was taking place on the Saturday and the guests were using disgraceful language in the reception and restaurant area with families present at around 8pm

Main course meal and 1drink each for 2 people overpriced at £42. Room clean but air conditioner not working properly. Only 2 tiny milks provided. Half a toilet roll which ran out as stay was for 2 nights. Breakfast first day a disappointment better on 2nd morning.

Ideal for visit to Lancaster, so location was good, staff friendly. Room was terrible. Soaking wet carpet outside bathroom door, and if that was an executive room, I'd hate to see a standard room. Awful.Door was almost impossible to open as it kept jamming shut. Just awful.
