The room we had was spacious . However bed was tucked into a little corner . One side of bed space was narrow so no bedside table , you had to duck down to get passed because of ceiling and bed frame was apart in the middle so kept catching toes . The toilet flush was poor, had to flush many time to get tissue to go.

The hotel itself needs a little bit of updating in terms of decor, but the room we stayed in was fine for us and was very quiet. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was OK (the water pressure was a bit low) and it was nice having a full sized fridge in the room. The staff were always friendly and it was an ideal base for visiting family in Halifax

Someone came into the room in the early hours of the morning while we were in bed asleep. This is a key card access so quite worrying, all the staff said was there isn’t cctv amd weren’t very helpful at the time, I’ve sent a message after this and still haven’t received a response

Upon arriving at the hotel it was clear something was a miss. Car park near enough empty and nothing lit externally. Do NOT let the images fool you, this is not what you are booking. We left after 15 minutes and booked elsewhere. Never have I felt so uncomfortable that I have left the hotel.

It failed to live up to its Yorkshire welcome! The hotel was dead inside being in almost all darkness apart from the reception desk. Outside the hotel looked promising, and although I was aware that there was no restaurant or bar. I did expect there to be a lounge sitting area but not lit. The room was clean and adequate but no character the local white Swan pub although advertising meals did not serve food. There is a small Italian restaurant in 10 minutes walking distance which was excellent. I will not return to this hotel.
