Nice people at the reception desk. Very clean. So two stars. But not at all worth the $500 a night. The toilet was the shortest, smallest I have ever seen. Difficult for an adult to get up off it. Poor ability to flush. The newly installed bathtub/shower had the shower head about the level of my chin. The room was tiny, with little space to get around it. The pillows were hard. The room had a porch with sliding doors but no screen, so bugs flew in when it was open. The heat/air conditioner had an up and down knob, but no actual temperature control. The people in the room beside us were clearly heard when talking. Typically a room found in old minimal cost motels. New toilets, heat pump with thermostat, better insulation between rooms would help a lot. At $500 a night there is no excuse for not correcting the room.

Loved the Tonquin Inn! Friendly front desk staff, pool was clean, room was clean, bed was comfortable. Food and shopping were located within convenient walking distance. I would stay here again.
