Lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings - far enough away from the busy Lake District hotspots to make it a peaceful stay, yet close enough to everywhere you might want to visit! Beautiful garden and pond, with friendly ducks. Clean throughout with spacious room and bathroom, and a comfortable bed. Great breakfasts with lots of choice. Only little niggle - it would be an added bonus to be able to have a cappuccino or latte choice at breakfast :)

Excellent country hotel, not too far from Windermere. Seems to be a dog and dogowners haven! I really liked the presence of the cute dogs. Surroundings very lovely. Please be aware that there are no restaurants in the vicinty and hotel has limited capacity in theirs. After a full day on the lake we came back to the hotel and no dinner😡

Stayed in a pod with hot tub, great use of space and logs provided for the burner. Outside area could benefit from some small touches like solar fairy lights, dry seating cushions and maybe robes. The hotel was very well kept and our bedroom we think had been recently refurbished and was lovely and clean. The breakfast was lovely with lots of choice and the scenery out of the window over the duck pond was beautiful. The grounds were well maintained with seating areas outside and also around the duck pond. The only problem we encountered was the Jacuzzi on the second night was a bit hot to sit in but we still had the pool and steam and sauna to enjoy. We enjoyed this hotel so much we have booked to go back in July. Very highly recommended.
