Not worth the money- read my comments

Lack of acknowledgment from staff when waiting to check in. Staff came to reception area then stayed in back office without even an acknowledgment of ‘be with you soon’ Bedroom the sink taps were back to front so turning on cold as you normally do, was actually a HOT water. Dangerous. Went for a shower, thermostat not working so we went to reception once again a lack of concern by staff. They gave us a key for a room in another floor to use THAT shower, not occupied as the door not lock🙈 but happy for us to use a shower with no securing a locked door ? There was a function/ event on with a very loud music and even though we were away from reception area and a floor down, when we asked when’s it finished as too noisy was told by non caring staff, it’s a function about 1-1:30. Really when this is an airport hotel with people getting early flights and lots of coaches with elderly guests.? No question of any compensation just a , here’s the email send it in (basically they weren’t interested in customer service giving) Definitely not coming back and my review says it all, this was our second visit, was a similar but not as back lack or service and plenty bad attitude.

Disappointing an understatement!

After a few days away on holiday we thought we would stay & get a nights sleep. Check in was smooth & we were given rooms beside each other 206 & 208. I was in 206 & when I entered the room it was very hot. As I was very tired I just lay on top of the bed. I got up to open the window to let some air in & the windows were filthy(see pic attached). My friend who I was sharing with got up & pointed out the fan on the floor. He picked this fan up plugged it in & it blew dust all over the room(see images). After coughing & spluttering catching our breath we both stood at the window while the dust settled. This was not in the plan after a long day travelling. Once enough of the dust had settled we were able to get into our beds & try to get some sleep(it was now 1-2am). At 4am we were both awaken by some noise outside. Then at 8.34am we had a cleaner walk in as we were just getting up catching me standing in my underwear. Not only do I feel this was an invasion of my privacy but I was mortified! We promptly gathered our belongings and left the hotel.

The booking said the hotel had a pool, but I had to pay 4 euros to use it, and towel hire was another 2 euros. The pool closed at five, so I didn’t get much opportunity to use it. If the pool facility is included in the room description, I think it is included in the price of the room. I feel cheated! Staff at the hotel were very nice though.

Only stayed overnight for early flight nearby. It was ok, clean but rooms are tired. The hock on the bathroom door consisted of two rather sharp screws. Screws left sticking out of the wall where a picture used to be. Staff were friendly.

Parking fines over £400, and paid parking!

Stayed for 4 nights snd paid for parking when i arrived, so far i have had over £200 parking fines from Parking Eye and expecting another £200, problem is the vehical is also leased so have fines from leasing company also to resolve ,so total will be over £400!

Absolutely fine, to say it’s an airport hotel it was so quiet and we didn’t see or hear a single plane! It’s a busy hotel but quiet and clean, will definitely stay again.

Check-in lady and ladies in restaurant were very helpful and cheerful. Bloke behind the bar could do with some of that rubbing off on him, in my opinion. We had twin beds. One was fine but the other sagged in middle and creaked loudly when there was any movement on it. We arrived late in the evening and didn't bother to complain as we were there for just one night. Anyway, the place was banged out so wouldn't have been able to move anyway. Food in the evening was pretty average. Breakfast was better and had a good selecton. No good for anything other than a one night stay for the airport in the morning or travelling further north/south. You get what you pay for. Rooms in Harrogate were 2 1/2 times as much for the night we needed.
