We stayed 1 night at this hotel before catching a flight the next morning.
Pros:
- Very close to a metro station
- Friendly & helpful staff
- Clean
Cons:
- NOISY. The hotel is on a busy main road, and the "soundproofing" is not effective. There was constant traffic, horns, and sirens. Luckily we travel with a white noise machine, and were able to get a decent night's sleep.
- The room was quite warm. The air conditioning feature of the heat pump did not work since overall system was set to heat in mid-March. The fan function also blew warm air into the room. We opened the balcony door to cool off, but had to close it for sleeping due to the street noise.
- The room was much smaller than what it looked like in the photos. The fridge door could only open partway as it was blocked by the bed.
- Breakfast seemed to start later, at 7:30am. (Admittedly, we stayed at aparthotels throughout our visit to Portugal so I am not sure what the typical hotel breakfast times in the country are. Based on experience from North American hotels, breakfast usually started around 6am.) We had a mid-morning flight, and needed to leave the hotel before 7:30 to ensure enough time to get through security and passport control at the airport. Therefore we were not able to have the breakfast that so many guests had positively reviewed. This is not to blame the hotel for the timing, but rather to make travellers with similar flights aware of the considerations.
