We stayed for two nights in a 'comfort double' at The Bridge. At the time we booked, there were different photos accompanying that room category to what's showing on ebookers now. The photos showed a quaint, country-style room with a pretty white tiled bathroom and exposed beams. The rooms we experienced - albeit clean - were more akin to a Premier Inn i.e. characterless. We asked to change rooms and the staff facilitated that, but the same applied to the next room too. Unfortunately for us, the room pictured clearly was not exemplary of all (or even the majority) of rooms at the hotel. They were a dishonest representation of what we were paying for. We were misled and it was very disappointing. Will the hotel accept responsibility for this (ebookers certainly won't)? On a positive note, the hotel was clean and the public areas (restaurant and lounge) are very presentable. It's lovely to hear the river running by as you fall asleep at night and Prestbury is a very pretty village.
