You are not staying in the pub or near it. It's rather log cabins, glamping next to pub. Rooms are very small and dark.

A number of lodges situated behind the pub in a nice rural setting. Ample parking and pet friendly. The lodges face inwards toward various courtyards, which are nicely landscaped. Rooms are provided with all the basic things you expect in a hotel room (TV, tea, coffee, kettle, etc). A large umbrella for the walk up to the pub restaurant was also a nice touch. Bed was comfy and quiet at night. Cleanliness could be improved somewhat however. Long dark hairs from previous guests were clearly visible in the bath and on the bed sheets. Faded black stains/spots that weren't washed out were also visible on the pillowcases and sheets. Minor issues that didn't affect my stay but not pleasant to see. The quaint and beautiful pub restaurant does breakfast and dinner. Staff are a little disorganised, leaving you standing around waiting to be seated. Once seated, staff are very friendly. Dinner was a little pricey for distinctly average food (battered fish sitting in a puddle of oil, chips and peas teetering between barely done and slightly under). Breakfast buffet selection is a little basic but the cooked breakfast was very good.

Great place to stay

Pros: Room was clean, staff were friendly and the pub lovely

Cons: A mini fridge in the room

Location: We only went to Kent Showground/Event Centre so didn't see much else

Lovely pub and accommodation, friendly, helpful staff and a comfortable clean room. Would definitely return.

Rooms large and in chalets close to the pub. Lovely bathroom, but rooms lacking in privacy- people walking past can see into rooms plus a bit of car traffic - only people staying in the lodges. Would stay again. Pub twelfth is very nice, with good beers and excellent food
