The room was clean and the bathroom very spacious! The room was also remarkably quiet considering it faced the street! I have a couple of observations about the amenities - the bathroom had very nice amenities except there was no hair conditioner, which is odd? The coffee station only had 2 paper cups and no real cups; and the only waste bin is in the bathroom, which is a bit inconvenient? The staff are warm and welcoming, and the location was great for us as we were attending a trade show a short distance away.

The hotel & rooms were lovely. Clean, comfy beds, large shower. The staff was excellent and helpful. I did have a few personal preference issues but they won't impact most guests: the room was too warm for me and I couldn't lower the heat, the area could be a bit noisy at night (not bad with windows closed however) so I couldn't leave the windows open, there was no plug for the hair dryer in the bathroom area close to a mirror and the bedside tables were a bit short.

I booked the hotel upon the good reviews ive seen. I booked the junior double room for a stay of three nights in milan celebrating my birthday. Although i lm entitled for some perks as gold member on hotels.com, unfortunately no one highlighted any thing. I inquired if there is a possibility for upgrade and was told that the room ive booked is their highest category. Room was modern style, specious and clean. But i was shocked that ac is disabled and we have to open the window for cooling! I have clearly mentioned that i booked the hotel for the air conditioning and still the staff was insisting that i have to open the windows as if this is acceptable! And it is a city low. The down side that they didn’t offer any alternative to ensure my comfort as a guest. Too much noise from the other rooms and outdoors very poor sound proofing! Bed toward the firm side not comfortable for me. Honestly not for a relaxing stay nor comfortable at all

Our stay was not very enjoyable. We booked a higher-tier room for added comfort — but the TV in our room was not working. It would turn on, but then the TV screen would turn completely black. The sound was still on, but the picture was gone. I alerted hotel staff about the problem. Someone came to look at the TV and could not fix it. The staff said the hotel was completely full and there was nothing they could do about it. Then offered to move us to a twin bedroom with a working TV (mind you we were in the balcony room with a king bed). When I asked if I would be reimbursed for the price difference of the room I was told no. Why in the world would we pay the same price for a downgraded room when the problem was on the hotel’s end? Nothing was done to compensate us for the lack of entertainment either. Not even an attempt. Also, there is nowhere to buy water in Tocq. All they offered were minibars with alcohol and juice in the bedrooms. I went down to the bar to attempt to purchase water, and there was no one working at the bar. We stayed at Avani when we first flew into Milan and enjoyed that stay much more. I would not recommend this hotel.
