"This hotel, originally named the Stonewall Jackson, is over 100 years old, but has aged reasonably well. The rooms are small by modern standards (at least those with ony 1 bed), but adequate. The updated bath in our room was very nice, with a better-than-average shower. A nice breakfast buffet is available for purchase, currently at a price of $15 per person, and restaurants for lunch and dinner are within easy walking distance, The hotel is attached to a municipal parking garage with a daily fee mid-week, but it's free on weekends. We did find the cost of the room to be far more than expected in this small Shenandoah Valley town ($264 with tax), but the desk clerk advised us that it's a typical summer tourist-season rate for the area. Overall, the hotel is fine and I'm glad we stayed there, but I probably wouldn't choose it for a return visit in the high season."
