Customer service was fantastic. They allowed us to drop off our luggage early and held for us when we left for a couple hours. Spent time making suggestions of where to eat with us. Place was clean, pleasant, and very close to the train station.

My wife and I enjoyed our 3 day stay at Hotel Metropol in Munich. The hotel is near the Central Train Station and was an easy walk to many restaurants and the nearby Marienplatz shopping areas. Very convenient location! We received a room upgrade into a larger room which was super nice. Great stay!

This is a reasonably priced, lightly staffed, and quite adequate hotel located extremely conveniently to the Hbf. Would have rated it five stars save for a slight sewage smell which appeared on occasion in the bathroom and an air conditioning thermostat which reverted every temperature entry to "freezing." Staff were responsive and pleasant, but seemed as baffled (and unhelpful) by each issue as were we.

The area around the hotel was very disappointing and dirty. But! It turned out to be a walkable location to the old town shops and restaurants. Even though the neighborhood around the hotel is not the most attractive, there was zero issues with anyone on the street. The hotel interior was very nice and the staff was amazing.

We stayed in May 2025 - would not recommend as there is major construction going on nearby for a very large commercial building. Angle Grinders & Jackhammers running most of the day. The shower in our room had no door, so despite our best efforts the bathroom floor became wet anytime someone showered. Very inconvenient and annoying.
