Basic, but they did basic well. Bed, bathroom, counter space. Clean. Conveniently located. Room was warm on the coldest day of the year - I almost didn't want to leave the hotel. Free coffee 24/7 is my kind of place. I booked during Hotels week and found the room to be a bargain for Brooklyn.

The room was clean but missing a mini fridge and microwave. The listing stated a microwave could be brought upon request but we were told no, use the communal ones in the bottom floor. The hotel wasn’t sure which rooms had mini fridges so they went searching through vacant rooms for one for us. Neither would be a big problem if we weren’t traveling with a baby and breast milk that needed to be kept cold. There were no cribs or pack and plays available either. Most of our neighbors were very noisy late into the night and slamming doors. Overall it’s an okay stay if you need the bare minimum.

The staff, room size and location worked out the most for me. I have a lot of friends in different parts of Brooklyn and Bklyn House was a great central location for me to get to Manhattan as well.

The night person at the desk was super friendly and helpful, loved the free coffee and water at the lower level, vending machines and microwaves available in the common space, our private room wasn't overly extravagant, but that's just Brooklyn 🙂‍↕️

Hate to give a poor rating, the staff was really nice and the room was quite clean, but the 8th floor smelled like the worst weed of all time despite the no smoking signs everywhere.
