Front desk staff were courteous and professional. The hotel is located in the heart of the shopping district just steps from great restaurants and shops. Top marks all round!!

The location for exploring Nice was excellent. 50 yards from restaurants for breakfast or lunch or dinner. 200 yards from the promenade Anglais. 300 yards from the old town. Easy to get to trains, buses and trams The hotel room was comfortable although we had a minor issue with the shower. The hotel does breakfast (good choices) at 20 euro but breakfast is available nearby for half. The reception was always friendly and arranged for our taxi to the airport (40 euro).

Excellent location, staff, overall experience

Absolutely amazing location, so close to the beach. We had a small balcony to sit on in the evening and look out at the busy streets and stunning architecture. The staff at Hotel Suede were very kind and helpful, gave us tips about where to eat and what to see. I think Nice is the best place I’ve ever visited, and this was a very affordable hotel to stay at. Will definitely recommend this location to friends and be back again!

Room very small, I know I was a solo traveller but room not much bigger than the bed. No air-con very warm overnight meant sleeping difficult, no external window, window opened up onto a central void space. Overnight was bitten by bugs all over my body.

This hotel is within easy walking distance of Nice old town, beach and other main places of interest. The surrounding area is full of restaurants and shops. Staff at the hotel are excellent, happy to answer questions and advise. The only negative is that the hotel is a bit dated and needs attention e.g. the decor is dated and our twin room only had two working plug sockets and they were not in a convenient place.

The reception staff weren’t friendly. There wasn’t even a kettle in the room, and not a single bottle of water in the fridge upon arrival. On the first day, there were two body shampoos, but they didn’t provide any more despite our request. The breakfast was very, very basic. Overall, in my opinion, this hotel was 1 or 2 stars, not 3.

We were only there for one night christmas eve and the hotel was ok, the checkin staff was very nice and helpful , she had great recommendations for my daughter and I for dinner. The loctaion is great close to the beach, restaurants, shopping etc...however in the morning we couldn't take a shower because there was NO HOT WATER WORKING throughout the hotel...very sad and not good we had traveled all the way from the states and we couldn't get a shower... nor a refund because I was told expedia would have to do it since that was the portal i use.. The location was great, checkin was good and check lady was very apologic for there being NO HOT WATER to wash and I would like a comp room for another day or a full refund... that was unexcusable .

Ran out of hot water about 9 am. Not a good start to the day. Elevators in Europe are small and cannot hold two people and luggage comfortably. Staff was excellent. Alex went over board to make sure we had most of what we needed.

Nice location but VERY noisy - not only outside, especially rooms at the first floor like ours - but also through wall: we can tell you exactly what our neighbours at the 107 did and said until they went to sleep. I also did appreciate at all not being offered the option to pay AT THE END of our stay. I should have refused when the receptionist asked me to pay right during the check in

The hotel was ideally located, very close to restaurants, shops, bars and the local market and only a short walk to the promenade des anglais. Staff were all very welcoming and friendly. The hotel itself was a bit run down/dark with the room we were in in need of a freshen up.We were only ready in the hotel to sleep so it was fine for that. Housekeeping came in every day though and did a great job.
