We are local and stayed here right before Christmas. We really enjoyed the well stocked room and the friendly staff. The pool and hot tubs made the trip for us; it was the perfect way to spend the evening. We also had fun at the hotel bar and enjoyed breakfast in the morning. Overall, it was a good stay. Our fireplace in our main room would not work. We had maintenance come fix it, and it still continued not to stay on. So disappointed we didn’t have a fireplace to enjoy.

I am not sure if it is because I booked through Expedia, but I felt like everything was below par. The front desk clerk was friendly and I appreciated his kindness. My room was frankly underwhelming and did not look like ANY of the photos (very small, dark, windows covered by bushes). I had reserved a much nicer room and was very disappointed. I did get a ride through their shuttle service and that person was kind and down to earth. The next morning I went to breakfast and the service was terrible, as if they couldn’t be bothered with me. Later I was sitting in the lobby near the fireplace and was “ushered” out by a woman stating the space was being photographed, I’d have to go somewhere else. My time at The Chateau was not welcoming or luxurious as I had planned based on the reviews and photos.
