Excellent relaxing stay

The views and location are fantastic. All staff where very friendly and helpful,the food was of a very high standard. I would advise anyone to stay at this hotel and to be honest the pics on the internet do not do it justice. The views are really something you would never get bored of. If you want a relaxing chilled out break you will not get much better than this.

Birthday treat

Having been moved to this hotel after my original hotel was overbooked I was pleasantly suprised by the rooms given to my friend and I at the Old England. The position of the hotel is superb and the lake view rooms are nice. As other reviewers have mentioned the rooms do need some attention and refurbishment -my ceiling was cracked and peeling but they are a good size and have comfortable beds. Particularly enjoyed the fresh cooked to order english breakfast - most hotels of this size only have buffets. Would return but it would have to be at a deal price - standard rate is far too high !!
