The chance of return stay would go up significantly if the hotel were to invest in a decent mattress, non synthetic duvet and pillows and in softer cotton bed sheets. It’s unfortunate that the above, and an overdue maintenance list (eg shower door seals) detract from a very interesting property set in the heart of the town.

Spacious accessible room. Large wet room. Room was tastefully decorated and very relaxing. Loved having the radio in room. Drinks in relaxing bar area. Food was very good. Helpful staff atall times.

What a gem of a hotel. The staff were very welcoming, courteous and efficient. Our room was immaculately clean. The hotel was warm and comfortable which is great in the winter. The ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel, both meals were excellent. Definitely scores 10 out of 10 for me.

Very nice hotel. Bit noisy with wedding guests but that was luckily a small thing. Lunch was lovely. Didnt have breakfast as felt price was too much when I got a bacon sandwich for half at local cafe. Lovely village, location perfect for my event.

The parking area was safe and conveniently located to the hotel - no long walks required The hotel was beautiful and had lovely landscaped gardens which were well maintained. Staff were very opleasant and helpful and everywhere was clean It is a historic building with a wow factor but is up to date inside. We had a standard room which was lovely Dinner was great with plenty of choices and we will definitely stay again pamela
