The room was in very good condition and spotless but the shower had very little power and needed to be on the hottest setting to be hot enough. The staff were lovely and the pub food was very reasonable. They had warned me that a Christmas party was going on but I wasn’t quite prepared for how loud the music was until midnight. Ok for a stop over on the way to visit family.

We had the most amazing stay at Rogerthorpe Manor in celebration of my friends birthday in November. The warmest of welcomes from the reception team, the most spacious room (number 13) which was spotlessly clean. Every member of the team were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious with so much choice, the hotel have literally though of every possible option. We will most certainly return! Thanks to the amazing team at Rogerthorpe.

Parking is easy and plentiful. The gardens and surrounding areas are lovely even in a damp and grey winter. The greeting in reception is good and everything is clearly explained. The evening meal (festive menu) is good and we only managed one course because there is a lot of it. The breakfast is varied and plentiful and the four egg omelet splendid. Service in the bar and restaurant is great. The bed in our room is a bit hard and otherwise the room is good.

Hotel was nice, food was good and 90% of the room was clean... but the 2 main items we want in a hotel room - a good mattrass and a clean toilet, was not to be Springs could be felt in the mattrass, so an additional duvet was used as a topper and i shouldnt have lifted the toilet seat up...

Friendly staff. The room was good size, huge tv, nice bathroom, comfortable bed and pillows. All amenities available - fan, air con unit, iron, tea/coffee tray. Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Breakfast was the best that I have had in any of the overnight hotels that I have stayed in. Fabulous, will definitely return if I need to stay in the area.

Room cold. Had to use portable radiator all night to keep it warm. Shower pressure poor and hot water was luke warm. Not great for washing your hair and getting suds out.

Arrived late, staff in the bar couldn't do enough to make sure I got an evening meal before the kitchen closed. Room was great, spacious and had everything required for an overnight stay. Bathroom was lovely too. Overall the stay was great and would go back for sure.

Great stay

Lovely independent hotel , ideally situated just off A1 for stop off stay ,great breakfast and welcome air conditioning . Good pub restaurant for evening meal . Great service it was nice to see local staff taking a pride in their job .
