Very nice hotel and nice room. The pools and beach are great! Food was however very disappointing, the staff was friendly but always very busy and it felt like they were under a lot of time pressure... Two very irritating things: you had to wake up at 6am to secure a long chair at the pool or the beach, and the best restaurant included in the package was always overbooked so we could not even try although we were there for 4 days... One positive point: bars are very quick to serve you.

The food and drink service everywhere was terrible. Not enough staff for amount of people. Line ups at every restaurant and bar. There was never a bartender at the swim up bar and long lines for pool bar and pool snack bar. Unless you go down to get a cabana by 5am you will never get one and not enough lounge chairs for amount of people at the hotel. Only 1 restaurant takes reservations and there is a line starting at 8am to make the reservation. Staff were not friendly and were annoyed if you asked for anything at all. We stayed in the Amber room which was beautiful. Overall the whole experience was such a disappointment. I would never stay here again

Sensira Resort was a fine choice for my wife and two younger kids. The pools were good, and the beach front was also good; although a little on the small side. Our room had the two queen beds and were clean. The drain backed up and caused a flood but the staff fixed the problem really fast. The food was good too and had zero complaints with the quality. Sometimes the selection of the food at the buffet was lacking, that’s just me being knit picky though. Overall we had a great stay.

Highly recommended for people with kids. Staff were AMAZING specially Hever, Francesco, Bartolo in the buffet they were not only amazing to me but took the time to be over and beyond for our 1 year old son. Also, Javier at the Italian restaurant went above and beyond for us and our son. Finally, Belmar at concierge who went far and above to make our trip special. I recommend you check in with him upon arrival especially with kids, he will set you week up. The staff seemed understaffed for some of our trip, but the quality of people working there did not make you feel disappointed. Hotel rooms are above average in size and comfort, the property and hotel itself had super high end feel, while being geared towards families. Some line ups for food, but the quality of the food was great.

Most of our issues were with the dining service and the food. The menu was very limited, and it was more junk food than actual, proper meals. There were more dessert items than real food, and the options were repetitive every single day, The hotel was in a very remote location and not in the main area where the other all-inclusive hotels are situated. The ocean water was not as clear and beautiful as the beaches at the other hotels,and the reception service was very weak and unprofessional

Reserved ocean room instead got a pool view no hands soap in the bathroom no towels half Drake bear in the mini fridge. Staff were very unaccommodating. We waited a full day to receive bath towels. Mexican restaurant was closed. There was a 30 person. Wait for Italian restaurant. We were not able to get reservations at the steakhouse. Most horrible experience I have ever had at a resort.

Great experience, that was our first trip with our 6 months old and we had a great time, we received a crib and baby bath tub which made bathing our baby so much easier. The resort is children friendly it had a lot of activities for kids and felt safe and relaxing. Initially we booked an ocean view room but received a different one. The customer service manager Ivania was quick to respond to our concern she was so helpful and pleasant and did a great job finding us an ocean view room which was fantastic. The staff were super friendly starting from the bellman to waiters to service workers to concierge every one was great. The food was extremely delicious they served a lot of varieties that met our need of healthy food and exceeded our expectations, except for the Italian restaurant for which the food was 3 stars in my opinion but staff was great. The level of cleanliness was great everything was super clean and organized. The only thing we didn’t like is having to wake up very early to reserve benches by the pool otherwise you won’t find a seat by 7:30 am.

Alex the butler and Brandon in the Amber lounge were above and beyond excellent! They are the only highlights at this resort. The view from the Ruby Suite is amazing. The resort caters to young families whose parents do little to nothing to see that their children behave at dinner. By the way, the restaurants are too small and understaffed. The food does not reflect 5 star resort. Often your food arrives at your table cold. Room service food is much better than the restaurants which is unusual. The adult pool is not supervised. Kids show up constantly. Some parents we’re using the pool to clean off the sand from their kids feet. The shower by the beach doesn’t work. Most 4 and 5 star resorts have their beach sectioned off, one side for higher end clients who have rented the expensive rooms. We travel to the Cancun area quite often, in fact we vacationed there 4 times last year and this resort is a huge disappointment. You really need better management and more attention to your restaurants in both service and taste if you want to market yourself as a 4 or 5 Star resort. Maybe more Alexes and Brandon’s. They understand how to treat customers and provide quality customer service. If it wasn’t for them we probably would’ve moved to another resort. Kudos to Alex and Brandon!!!

The only issue we had was we were put in a room that was right across from a wedding reception on the sunset deck and it was LOUD until 11 pm, which wasn’t ideal since we were hoping to relax/sleep earlier than that.

The resort may have been better for families with younger children. It was usually a little loud with all the kids, the staff was good, but the resort seemed understaffed. We got a room with two queen beds. It was an open floor plan with the shower and vanity open to the bedroom so not a lot of privacy. They had 4 restaurants and one buffet. 2 restaurants required reservations. On Valentines Day we had reservations at the Italian restaurant and were provided a special menu. That was really well thought out and a fantastic meal. The other 6 days were good but nothing overwhelming. The beach was fine but a bit of seaweed that they did their best to clean up every day. The pools were good but it was annoying that people would ‘save’ their lounge chairs by waking up early to put towels on them. The chairs were empty half the day but they were ‘saved’. All in all in was a good stay but we likely wouldn’t stay there again. It just wasn’t the right fit for us.

I rarely write negative reviews, but this is a warning for families: this hotel is not kid-friendly and is very poorly managed. We stayed as a family of six—two adults and four children under nine, including five-year-old twins. We booked two adjoining rooms well in advance and were instead placed on opposite sides of the hotel. It took two days of repeated requests to be moved closer together. Our final night was a disaster. A wedding with extremely loud music was held directly across from our rooms. The hotel refused to intervene or offer any solution. Our young children were exhausted and cried themselves to sleep. The only response we received was, “It will stop by 11 PM.” No apology. No alternative rooms. We were told the hotel was “full,” which reflects terrible planning and management. We ended up sitting in the lobby late at night with our children, waiting for the noise to end. The attached photo shows my son while we waited. That should never happen on a family vacation. The hotel also appeared severely understaffed, with slow, inattentive service throughout our stay. Adding to the frustration, Expedia offered no meaningful support when we raised these issues. We will not be using Expedia again for future travel. I would not recommend this hotel to families—or anyone expecting basic organization or care.
