The ratio of activity and amenities could be more as an adult-inclusive as it is in the adjacent property (Barcelo Palace). For example: the adult Bavarro Beach Beach does not have a swim-up wet bar which would compliment the intent of an all-inclusive experience for adults. In addition, the rooms need to be updated; quality focus.

Definitely going back! We stayed at the Barcelo beach but went a few times over to the palace for the restaurants and entertainment. Very close to the airport, beach was fantastic, staff cleans the seaweed every night.

It’s a beautiful resort, the beach was wonderful and the pool was amazing BUT the food is terrible I was hoping to taste some flavor and have food from their country but it was very mediocre and bland even the food spots you had to make reservations for was horrible and insulting. It was very hard to enjoy the stay w bad food options everyday. I stayed in the adult side and you would still see a few children here and there and it was very annoying to see when you payed to be an all adult side. Going to the family side of the resort was pretty cool but the food was also TERRIBLE. Staff was ok some were not very helpful at times and had miserable faces. I will not be coming back to this resort.

The staff was very rude. No customer service skills. They act like we were a bother when asking for reservations, drinks and food. We had to constantly look for the servers We tipped every time they brought us something, not even a thank you . We will never go back here. Go to Puerto Plata instead. The people are nicer!!
